Gamers Taking the Lead: All About FMQ's Leadership Training Program
In April, Fabamaq kicked off the third edition of the Leadership Training Program, designed to equip our Gamers with the skills and knowledge to become effective leaders within our software house.
This program was meticulously organized by our People Management team, ensuring that each session provided valuable insights and practical techniques to guide, motivate, and develop teams. Keep reading to find out all about it!
All about FMQ's exclusive Leadership Training Program
The program was structured to promote continuous learning and development, with weekly sessions running from April to July. Led by Vera Bravo, Head of People, along with Fabamaq's People Business Partners Sandra Oliveira and Sara Carvalho, the program focused on preparing our Gamers for leadership.
An in-house program designed to perfection
Our Leadership Training Program shows Fabamaq's commitment to nurturing talent from within. Designed and executed entirely in-house, this program ensured that our Gamers receive tailored training that aligns with our unique organizational culture and objectives. Each module addressed critical aspects of leadership, providing participants with a comprehensive skill set to thrive in their roles.
- Negotiation & conflict management: This module equips leaders with strategies to manage disputes and negotiate effectively. Participants learn techniques to resolve conflicts constructively, ensuring a positive and productive team dynamic.
- Motivation: Focused on inspiring and boosting team performance, this segment teaches leaders how to use motivational techniques to enhance optimism, increase productivity, and maintain high levels of engagement among team members.
- Emotional intelligence: Enhancing self-awareness and interpersonal skills is the focus of this part of the program. Leaders learn to manage their emotions and understand others, fostering a more empathetic and supportive work environment.
- Team building: This module equips leaders with tools and strategies to strengthen team cohesion and collaboration. Focused on building trust, enhancing communication, and fostering collaborative problem-solving, this segment includes activities and discussions that reinforce these skills.
- Decision making: Developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills is the foundation of this segment. Leaders are trained to analyze situations, consider various perspectives, and make informed decisions that benefit both the team and the organization.
- Communication skills: Enhancing clarity and effectiveness in conveying ideas is vital for any leader. This part of the program focuses on refining both verbal and non-verbal communication skills, ensuring that leaders can articulate their vision, provide constructive feedback, and foster open lines of communication within their teams.
