Level Up Your Life: a look into Fabamaq's First Aid Course for Gamers

In an effort to ensure the safety and well-being of our gaming community, Fabamaq has launched a comprehensive First Aid course exclusively for our Gamers. Let's take a look at this intensive program and how it benefited our employees!

The first session of this essential program took place on May 23rd, bringing together over 40 Gamers to gain life-saving skills. Managed by our dedicated People team, this initiative underscores our commitment to fostering a healthy and safe environment both in and out of the workplace.

About Fabamaq's First Aid Course for Gamers

Running from may to june, Fabamaq's First Aid course was tailored to fit into our Gamers' schedules with insightful, practical sessions. The program consisted of detailed classes, each designed to equip our team with crucial first aid knowledge and techniques.

Partnering with Interprev, a renowned company specializing in work safety and health, has been instrumental. Interprev’s expertise ensures that our course is not only comprehensive but also engaging and practical. Their professional trainers bring a wealth of experience and knowledge, making them the ideal partner for this initiative.

We spoke with several members of our People team who organized this first aid course. Here’s a glimpse of their insights:

Sara Carvalho, People Business Partner: "This training was essential for our gamers to acquire first aid skills, which are extremely important for ensuring everyone's safety and well-being, both inside and outside the workplace. These skills enable a rapid response in emergency situations, reducing risks and saving lives".

Sandra Oliveira, People Business Partner: "Participating in basic life support training in a work context at Fabamaq was a deeply enriching experience. The ability to identify a risky situation, such as choking, and act immediately is something I consider crucial. Knowing how to raise the alarm and provide the necessary support until a healthcare professional arrives not only increases my confidence but also contributes to overall safety in the workplace."
